SAY SMILE Program

This pandemic has left many senior citizens feeling socially isolated and lonely, affecting their physical and mental health status. Say Smile connects volunteers of all ages with senior citizens providing them the much-needed personal contact through phone calls, cards, emails, and other forms of communication.

Recently, Home Of Hope (HOH) partnered with Say Smile to assist low-income senior centers by fundraising, organizing events, and sending messages. We hosted a Paint Night to raise funds for our underprivileged senior centers and homes. Through this event, we raised over $1500, which we are using to create sensory kits—such as, art kits, tech kits, poetry/story kits, and more.

However, we need more funds for providing—chrome books, tablets, smart robots, and other communication devices. Many senior centers do not have the resources to purchase this technology for themselves and through our fundraising, we hope to give them an opportunity to do so.

"I am humbled by the selfless dedication and commitment of our partners, our foot soldiers, who work tirelessly to help these disadvantaged children who by no fault of their own have multiple strikes against them... Every day the people who have dedicated their lives to help provide a future for these children remind me that there is a lot of goodness in the world."
