the institution is conducting Primary, Middle and High School

Atmashree Educational Association strives to provide high quality education for underprivileged children in all of the communities of Karnataka State. Established in 1972 through local donations, the association is currently running an educational institution in Thyagarajanagar, Bangalore. With more than 500 attending students, the institution is conducting Primary, Middle and High School in Kannada language.

Goals

Home of Hope strives to improve the academic and vocational needs of Atmashree. To accomplish this, HOH closely monitored the academic performance and SSLC results of the classes. The results are promising and we expect a 100% pass rate in the coming years.

HOH's CONTRIBUTION

  1. HOH first funded Atmashree in 2001 with a $2,800 grant towards basic needs
  2. To date HOH has funded over $100,000 with more then 75% towards meeting the teacher's salary
  3. In the memory of Dr Abid M Husain, his family granted Home of Home $10,000 to establish a new computer lab equipping it with six computers, a printer, a scanner, broadband internet, upgrading of four PCs, with provisions for maintenance and teachers' salaries.
  4. In 2007, a basic math skills learning program was designed for students of Grades 1 to 3. It has been designed to allow students to learn at their own pace.

Today, the Atmashree Educational Association is self-sustaining, and no longer an active account for Home of Hope. We are very proud to have been part of their success!
