Moved by the reports they read about HOH's Atmashree in Banglore, NBC11 reporter Scott Budman and photographer Don Hardy decided to check out the project first-hand. During their recent visit to India to cover the phenomenon of "outsourcing" they decided to include the life changing work being done at Atmashree among the poor children of Bangalore.
Budman and Hardy visited several Bay Area companies in India, including Network Appliance, Hewlett Packard and Infosys, to provide on -site reports about India's increasing role in the field of software, outsourcing, and high-tech business - a story they have been covering for years here in the Bay Area.
Philanthropy in Bangalore
Budman reported "After spending lots of time at technology companies here in Bangalore (and there are still more to come), it was very interesting to spend a large chunk of today with people helping the poor. Specifically, poor children. Thanks to a program -started in the Bay Area- called Home of Hope, which can be found on the web at www.hohinc.org, hundreds of children in Bangalore are getting a solid education, K through college, including computer training."
The BAY TO BANGALORE SERIES will be aired on NBC11 AT 5p.m starting on Monday next week (September 25th through 29th). HOH will be featured on THURSDAY September 28th.
Nilima to be interviewed by NBC on Friday September 29th!

HOH Thanks You the Donors
HOH would like to say a big "Thank You" to its donors, some of whom remain anonymous. There has been a special outpouring of generosity in the last several weeks which will go a long way in helping to meet the needs of the twelve very worthwhile projects adopted by HOH.
