Gala Fundraiser in Surrey, B.C. - Canada The message of HOH has spread north of the border with resounding success. JUDY and ONKAR helped Navneet Grover, a long time youth supporter of HOH to organize a gala fundraiser in Surrey, Canada on November 17th at the Dhaliwal Banquet Hall. Despite inclement weather, the sold out event attracted 500 guests with a zest for good-hearted fun and dancing bhangra into the wee hours of the night. HOH President, Dr. Nilima Sabharwal delivered the HOH message to a captivated audience. She was impressed by the enthusiasm of the organizers and their supporters, stating "It is very touching to see this group so motivated. I really felt the crowd connected to HOH". With the money from ticket sales and pledges still being counted, it appears the event might raise anywhere between $5-10,000 for the children of HOH. Atlanta, GA Amin Tejani has faithfully supported HOH in the past, and has pledged a $10,000 donation for this year! HOH looks forward to the message of HOH spreading to all of Atlanta. A time to Celebrate! HOH feels a deep gratitude to all its donors who choose not to receive any gifts for their birthdays and special events and instead, divert the gift money to the children of HOH. This month HOH would like to say a big Thank you and Happy 40th to Sonia Singha, who is celebrated her birthday on November 18th and has requested guests to direct their gifts to HOH.
