HOH SPECIAL CHILD, MIJWAN VILLAGE, YR 2009
This Muslim girl from Mijwan village was also a student of HOH sewing/tailoring program. According to Shabana Azmi...she was hidden under her burkha....would barely speak....was abused by her family. After allot of pressure..her family allowed her to go to the center ( the meager stipend was an incentive) Today she is so EMPOWERED ......she is now studying On womans empowerment day..she got up on the stage...and sang to a large audience....with allot of self confidence ! Also she very active in the ..and very PRO EDUCATION....for girls . Today every girl child in Mijwan..goes to school. They have 100% literacy rate...
