... we can do something about it
- Are all the projects based in India?
Home of Hope believes that regardless of where they are needy children deserve the best that we can provide.
In 2007 we funded a project based in Berkeley, California.
We hope that this will be the first of many projects located outside of India.

Most donations are credited to our general fund to be used where needed.
However, for major donors we do have the ability to designate contributions for a particular program.
Please contact us if this is of interest to you.
- Can I recommend a project?
We welcome project recommendations.
Before we can fund any project it must be presented to our program committee for completion of our due diligence.
Forms and guidelines are available for review.
If you have a project which you would like to recommend please contact us for guidance.
- How do you make sure that the money which is sent to the projects is not misused?
A minimum of 1 site visit per year is made by one of our board members.
This helps to ensure that funds have been utilized for the purpose intended.
On a periodic basis we require written reports from our partners clearly stating the fund balance.
Were possible we require estimates followed by invoices for major purchases.
In addition our India based program director makes scheduled site inspections.
- Can I pick and sponsor a child?
Home of Hope grants funds for programs benefiting all children in a particular project.
Individual donor contributions are combined to fully fund a specific program or set of programs.
Each child is precious and deserves the best that we can provide.
- What is HOH's policy on discrimination?
HOH will not knowingly fund any project which discriminates on the basis of Race, Religious preference, creed nor ethnic background.
In some cases specific programs cater to boys or girls. This is sometimes necessary because of limited residential space or because of other constraints.
HOH strives to provide quality services to both boys as well as girls and thus does not consider it discrimination for certain projects to cater to all boys or all girls.
- What happens to the projects in case sufficient funds are not raised?
Our board has exercised great fiscal control and has been able to continually fund projects for over 10 years.
With the continued support and trust of our loyal donors we hope to continue to be able to meet the needs of our project partners.
