With the help of Crafts of Hope, a selection of four of their paintings, are available to you.

Each package of 8 cards costs $25, and this generates a profit of $20 for the artists, and a tax-deduction form for your help.

These dollars will go directly to SEC to further enhance this program, and Fund a Painter!

Artist: BandeNawaz Nadaf

Bandenawaz Nadaf was born with a congenital anomaly. He has no arms, and his father was very upset, not knowing how he could provide for his physically challenged child.

A man from the circus was willing to buy him at a good price, and at first, his mother agreed. When the man came to take her little child, she changed her mind. She says this child is more precious than any treasure on earth, and today, whatever Bendenawaz does today is to please his family.


His education, however, was an ordeal. No school wanted to admit him, as they were certain he would disrupt the class. Finally, they heard of the Society for the Education of the Crippled, and he was admitted instantly. With all of our facilities, he got what he needed, and more importantly, what he truly wanted.

Artist: Shubham Paitti

Shubham was born with Arthogryphosis Multiplex Congenita, with dwarf and multiple congenital deformity, and came to the Society for the Education of the Crippled with only 5 years old.


He is an orphan, and lives with his grandmother and others in the family and is taken to the school daily by bus. Painting is Shubham’s passion in life, and wants to make a career out of it.

Artist: Haseeb Chaudhary

When Haseeb was only 6 months old, he contracted poliomyelitis, and heard of the Society for the Education of the Crippled through a friend he had, who was crippled, also. He joined our school when only 6 years old.

Through SEC, he had corrective and successful surgery. Before this, he could not sit straight, and his back used to bend forward. Now he can sit and can walk with the help of calipers and crutches.


Today, he is studying in FYJC, and says he does not have any regret about what has happened to him. "If God takes away something, he also gives something back. He has given me so much, and this opportunity to paint is wonderful".

He also says that one should always have faith in themselves to achieve their goals, and knows that if one believes, one can touch the sky...

Artist: Shahanawaz Shaikh

Shahanawaz was only one year old when he contracted poliomyelitis, after taking the polio vaccine. His mother was in shock, and tried to find the way to correct this, thinking her son had the advantage of the medicine. He went with her to churches, gurudwaras, everywhere, but there was no improvement to his health.


At the age of 7, he joined the Society for the Education of the Crippled which educates could help, physically challenged children.

He says he is not sad to be handicapped, but has found everything he needs. "I paint, I dance and I swim. I feel that I have more than the normal person, and what I love the most is to paint and express myself, and am happy to get this opportunity. After I have mastered the art of painting, I would love to teach this to all my friends, especially the handicapped children".
